What we do
Writing often has a bad image. Many people don’t want to write because they think they can’t. Putting words on the page can seem impossible. But it isn’t. Ask yourself: What really matters to you when you write? Once you know that, you will find a style that suits you. To Write like Silk means to write your own way and to take your readers along.
In these focus sessions, we ask questions such as:
- What’s the difference between writing and speaking?
- What do I really want to express when I write?
- How can I write so that others understand me?
- How do I stop worrying about spelling and grammar?
- How can I know when to break the rules and when I need them?
Here are a couple of answers: If our thoughts are clear to us, we can make them clear to others, too. When we feel the conviction of what we write, others will feel it, too. Silk adapts to the needs of the moment without losing its own unique style. We don’t have to be boring to be clear and precise. Writing is always creative.
Kindness Communication is the key.
Please note that our focus sessions are not suitable for complete beginners. To participate, you need to be able to speak and understand the language of the sessions on at least a basic level. This means understanding what we say and talking to the others in the group. If you understand the sentences on this page, then you understand enough to participate.

- You won’t copy fixed phrases.
You will find what fits the moment. - You won’t worry about getting it perfect from the beginning. You will focus on getting it right in the end.
- You won’t need complex grammar to express complex thoughts. You will learn that keeping it simple can show how much you know.
- You won’t see writing as a problem.
You will know how to make it fun. - You won’t think that you can’t write.
You will discover that you can.
What to expect
Write like Silk takes place on two days, about one week apart from each other, with a 3-hour session on each day, including coffee breaks.
We will …
- practice spontaneous and creative writing
- explore ways to achieve your personal writing goals
- discuss the concepts of Go like Silk and Kindness Communication
- design texts for your specific readers
- have fun together
We will not …
- stick to one strategy for all situations
- copy how other people write
- practice grammar, fixed phrases or words
- learn a list of dos & don’ts
- sit still and stare at PowerPoint slides
The sessions are held by both Michèle and Michael with 3 to 6 participants. Upon completion of the sessions, you will receive a certificate on paper confirming your successful participation.

You can reach us via the lines 5, 33, 37, 38 and 40A (stop “Nußdorfer Straße / Alserbachstraße”). The train station Franz-Josefs-Bahnhof (lines R40, REX41, REX4, S40 and D) is about 7 minutes (on foot) away. There are several parking garages within a walking distance of 10 minutes.

What it costs
Price for 6 hours (2 days): €660 plus VAT
The price includes:
- your personal piece of silk so you can continue to practice flowing at home
- a Go like Silk box also useful for storing the silk
- various writing materials pen and paper
- coffee, tea and non-alcoholic drinks when we are at our office
- your certificate upon completion of the sessions
We offer a reduced rate of €450 plus VAT for students, people doing their military service or Zivildienst as well as others on a reduced income.
We would like to offer our services to everyone who wants to learn more about Kindness Communication. If our regular prices exceed your financial resources, please get in touch with us. We wish to find a solution that works for us and for you.
