Why choose individual sessions?
In our individual sessions for German, we focus on your communication profile in German: How do you feel when you speak German? How do you want to present yourself in German?
In a one-to-one setting, you can look more closely at your communicative needs and explore how you can make the most of your creative potential. You will develop your own way to communicate in German in all kinds of situations.
In the individual sessions, we identify together what is most relevant for you personally. This could be communication at work, in international settings, writing, knowledge transfer etc. We build on the basic concepts from our workshops, such as strategies from Speak like Silk :
- How to not be stressed when you speak German.
- How to avoid tripping over unexpected words and phrases.
- How to say everything you want to say in German.
Together, we will find the focus that suits you best.
Enhance your personal communiation skills for many different contexts and settings, including:
- meetings and presentations
- phone calls and online meetings
- presenting expert knowledge to non-specialist audiences
- academic publications
- optimising reading efficiency
- written communication and creative writing
- informal, everyday situations and smalltalk
Your coach for the individual sessions will be Michèle Cooke, PhD. Dates for the sessions can be planned to accommodate your personal timetable.
The individual sessions allow us to focus on what is important to you personally in greater depth and at your own pace. We will discuss how you can reach your goals for German with Kindness Communication. In this one-to-one setting, we find answers to questions such as:
- How can I say what I mean in German – in a way that suits me?
- What resources can I draw on to stop feeling insecure or self-conscious in German?
- How do I develop my own personal style when I write in German?
- How can I integrate my multilingualism and cultural backgrounds into my communication in German and remain authentic?
- How can I communicate in German with enthusiasm, respect and kindness?
Structure
Dates for individual sessions can be decided in accordance with your schedule.
For example: for a total of 7 hours, the sessions could be held as follows:
- Session on the first day: 2 hours
- Session on the second day: 3 hours
- approx. one week strategic pause for reflection
- session on the third day: 2 hours

€1,800 plus 20 % VAT
